Hollywood's biggest names and savviest dressers left their Barbie boxes, Mojo Dojo Casa Houses and hotels headed for the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles to celebrate their peers at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Attendees like Jessica Chastain, Laverne Cox and Sheryl Lee Ralph donned black. Velvet also had a presence on the carpet, as did gloves thanks to Kathryn Hahn and Greta Lee.
The fashions make us think of the words Barbra Streisand, recipient of this year's lifetime achievement award, sang in "Funny Girl": "Life's candy and the sun's a ball of butter." Here are the jewels of SAG's red carpet parade, in no particular order.

Tyler James Williams — Mr. Eddie to his "Abbott Elementary" students — is serving in sparkles in his powder blue suit by Amiri. His mesh shirt adds another layer of texture to this fun look with wide-leg pants.
Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez changed the tides in a sea of black by opting for a white, sequin spaghetti-strap gown that hugged her curves.
Elizabeth Debicki
Elizabeth Debicki, who played Princess Diana on Netflix’s “The Crown,” looks chic in an icy blue floor-length gown with bejeweled illusion neckline. We love how her pin-straight locks mirror the Armani/Privé gown.
Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway, who reunited with her “The Devil Wears Prada” co-stars Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt to present the award for male actor in a comedy series, hinted on E!’s “Live from the Red Carpet” pre-show that she was partial to her archival Versace look because of its color, a reference to Miranda Priestly’s monologue on cerulean.

“Abbott Elementary” creator and star Quinta Brunson deserves an apple and a spot on our best-dressed list for timeless black dress with deep U-shaped neckline. The neutral dress served as the perfect blank slate for her diamond and emerald jewels.

Emily Blunt stunned in a slinky red halter dress that would make her “Devil Wears Prada” character proud. The look featured a plunging neckline and small train.
